Mukesh Ambani ranked ninth richest on Forbes’ real-time billionaire

With a net worth of $60 billion, Reliance Industries (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani has been ranked 9th richest person globally, according to ‘The Real-Time Billionaires List’ of Forbes. The list was topped by Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO – Amazon.

On Thursday, the company became the first indian firm to hit Rs. 10 lakh crore market valuation after RIL shares hit the 52-week high of ₹1,581.25 on the BSE, rising 0.64 per cent. While RIL gained nearly 40 per cent during the last year, the Nifty50 index advanced over 13 per cent.

Others in the top 10 include Jeff Bezos, CEO and Founder of Amazon with net worht of $113 billion, followed by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates ($107.4 billion), Bernard Arnault chairman & CEO LVMH($107.2 billion), CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffet with a net worth of $86.9 billion, CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg($74.9 billion), Amancio Ortega founder of Inditex Fashion Group, best known for its chain of Zara Clothing & Accessories($69.3 billion), co-founder of Oracle – Larry Ellison($69.2 billion), Carlos Slim Helu($60.9 billion) and CEO of Alphabet – Larry Page($59.6 billion).
